Dear Alexi,
I have always been in love with the beach as far back as I can
remember since I was a little girl. I have spent a lot of time just
sitting on the beach staring out at the big blue ocean. The ocean seems
incredibly peaceful and relaxing yet powerful to me. As a little girl
romanticizing, it was also my dream to hold my wedding ceremony on the
beach. I was always determined that I would be having a romantic beach
wedding someday with the man of my dreams. That idea and those plans
stayed with me all the way through my college years. In fact, my mind
was already thinking ahead as to how and when I was finally going to
have my dream beach wedding, when my fiance slipped a ring on my
finger. To my amazement, my fiance wasn’t exactly thrilled with the idea
of a wedding on the beach like I was because the closest beach to our
hometown was more than a few hours away. Nevertheless I was still
determined to have a beach wedding, even if it meant limiting the
number of guests who would actually attend. Unfortunately, my fiance
was still not sold out on my dream wedding after many discussions about
setting a date. Finally, he reluctantly agreed when he realized that
nothing less than a romantic beach wedding on the sand would make me
happy. I was thrilled when I found a beautifully romantic inn that was
located directly on the beach. I had to book every one of the guest
rooms for the weekend in order to have my wedding there. I had to
reserve all of the rooms because I really wanted to have my romantic
ceremony there, and nothing was going to stop me. Looking back, I
thought it was quite expensive then but in comparison to a regular type
of wedding it really cost considerably less. My sister had a lot of
experience helping her friends with their weddings and is really good
at dealing with lots of details that I would never even think about.
One good suggestion was that we should either have the ceremony in the
morning because of the position of the sun or late in the afternoon in
order to get a beautiful sunset wedding. With a good photographer which
is of extreme importance, a sunset wedding will always win out in my
eyes. That’s the route that we took She also told me that the weather,
especially the breeze at the beach might affect my beach wedding. A
strong breeze can play havoc on the ceremony, blowing the wedding dress
out of place and blowing the sand around. As a result, I had to adjust
my thoughts on buying an appropriate wedding dress and how I’d wear my
hair to deal with all of these new questions that had been brought to
my attention. I ended up purchasing a dress that was a bit more casual
and form fitting on me and which didn’t have a long train. I also
realized that it wouldn’t be a good idea to wear a veil so instead, I
had my hair pinned up with some beautiful flowers which made me look
like a beach princess. I also made sure that everything that was going
to take place on the beach, from the decorations to the food were done
in a simple manner so as not to be a problem and interfere with the
most beautiful and romantic beach wedding ceremony that a girl could
ask for.Our wedding turned out to be absolutely perfect in every way.
Romantic island beach wedding ceremonies are a wonderful way to get
married. You just need to be prepared to adjust quickly for any
possible problem that could develop in an outdoor situation. I highly
endorse having a romantic beach wedding ceremony.
Sincerely,
Shelly
